Rev. Dr. Jonathan Scanlon, Pastor

Our Pastor, The Reverend Dr. Jonathan Scanlon, came in St. Andrews in November of 2025 from Lubbock, Texas, where he was working as a Licensed Master Social Worker in discharge planning at University Medical Center. Prior to working at the hospital, Rev. Scanlon served congregations in Plainview, Texas, Flagstaff, Arizona, Clarion Pennsylvania, Austin, Texas, and Oxford, Mississippi. In addition to working as a Presbyterian minister and social worker, Dr. Scanlon has taught sociology courses in person, and online, at Wayland Baptist University. He was trained in hospital chaplaincy at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He graduated from the University of California, Davis, before attending Princeton Theological Seminary. He then received additional graduate degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Upon graduating from seminary, Rev. Scanlon was a Young Adult Volunteer in Mission through the Presbyterian Church (USA) serving in Tucson at St Marks Presbyterian Church and with No More Deaths / No Mas Muertes. He then spent two years in the Lilly Endowment funded Transition into Ministry program as a Resident Pastor at Central Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.

Dr. Tim McReynolds, 
Accompanist

Dr. Timothy McReynolds is the Helen Wall Rich Associate Professor of Collaborative Piano at the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University in Macon. Dr. McReynolds received his B.M. from Indiana University, M.M. from the University of Michigan, and completed his D.M.A. at the University of Maryland.
